Hi, I am Jacob. I am a student at the university. I am here to tell you about my mother who is battling Neuroendocrine cancer. You might think, what is it?
Neuroendocrine cancer is a rare and serious disease. They start in neuroendocrine cells – these are specialised nerve cells that produce hormones. These cells are part of the endocrine system, which is a network of glands in the body. Cancers that arise in the neuroendocrine system are found throughout the body, including in the lungs and gastrointestinal tract (e.g., stomach, intestines).

My mother along with my family lives in a small town in Oklahoma, USA. She is 56 years old. She has a wonderful life with 6 children –all boys. As you can imagine, she has been a “SUPER MOM”. Being a home maker, she has always been there whenever we needed her. This gave me and my brothers a firm foundation and a wonderful family experience. As all of us started moving out of our home, my mother decided to share her love beyond our family. She started teaching young children. She also serves as the “Director” of the Sunday school at our church.
As the Bible says: “My thoughts are not your thoughts neither are your ways my ways” – Isaiah 55:8
We discovered that my mother has Neuroendocrine cancer. She is fighting this since last 3 months. I believe in the power of prayers and that will carry us through.

Jacob is our very dear friend, plz pray for his mom and family as they are going through this difficult time.
