February is a month of love and romance, a day when we send roses or rings and exchange cards and candies. A day filled with hugs and kisses. This sounds so sweet and pleasant among all the terror and suffering going on in the world. At times I wish there were more days like this in the year when we took a moment from our busy lives to think of our loved ones, friends and family.
Let’s think for a moment what is LOVE……
It is feeling, we cannot see love but we feel it. We can proclaim it with our actions which speak louder than words. But more than anything, LOVE IS A COMMITMENT.
This is the quality which we lack as young people, yes it is hard to commit, it is a risk, if we are already committed it is hard to live up to it. Life is smooth without such boundaries. But life is worth living when you have a deep sense of fulfillment of this commitment.
Here is a true meaning of love taken from a book in the Bible:
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.”
