dsc00564 195x300 Reach UsDear friends,

I am Glory, a daughter, wife, teacher and a mentor. I work in a wonderful alternative school for “at risk youth. It has become a life changing experience for me. Since many years I had a burning desire to do something for our younger generation and women. And so we decided to take the first step and launched this site for women.

I believe every day life teaches us a lesson. We grow and mature by the experiences in our life. Life is more than just surviving. But there are some days when we feel great that we just survived…lived through the storms……we made it…..And then there are times in our lives when we soar….high up like an eagle…..feel the breeze on the mountain peaks and out we come refreshed and rejuvenated and than there are those valleys …not necessarily dark and lonely but still valleys……down and deep……and insightful.

Where ever you are in the walk of your life I know for sure that every LIFE HAS A PURPOSE AND MEANING. It is more than just surviving….it is about thriving and enriching other lives.

What makes Life more beautiful is our friends and the relationships we chose to have. “Global woman” is all about building that bridge of friendship, it is about YOU. So please feel free to share any questions, concerns or doubts you might have and we would work it to gather just like friends. I am sure it will help all of us to grow, learn and mature together. So please do write anything which matter you at the following email.

sp32 20081112 225931 Reach UsDear Friends, I am Gayatri Vaidya… An Indian, a daughter, a teacher, a sister, an employee, a photo & poetry enthusiast and Gayatri- a woman. I am doing my doctoral research in Biochemistry and as a part of that am working on some important medicinal plants of India. However, my interest has always been to reach out to the unreached.

For me unreached does not only mean the underprivileged, poor, widows, exploited labors etc. I believe, for the needs of these categories, our society is quite aware and sensitive and also putting in efforts to reach out. But, there is this so-called stratum of ‘normal’ people in our society, which I feel face problems equally in their domestic and professional fronts. And, to add to their agonies, the society has not been sensitized enough towards them. Confined by the courtesies and social etiquettes, many a times, they cannot even give a vent to their feelings.

I personally have times in my life when my friends have healed my heart burns, by being present in my lives, though I could have chosen my family to talk to. At times, it is more difficult to discuss our problems with family members and on the other side with friends, it comes out naturally.

I have my bunch of experiences, which have taught me few things about life… I am here to be a friend of yours… To share my experiences with you and to learn from your experiences. Together, we, women, will be able to establish a better society as however much the definition of ‘woman’ changes, she will always be the foundation of the social organization.

I will be glad if I would be of some help to you.
